Abstract

In March 2023, six cities in Central Java combined experienced inflation of 0.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.25. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced deflation.
The main causes of inflation in March 2023 are rising prices of air freight, gasoline, purebred chicken eggs, garlic, and filtered clove cigarettes. The main restraint of inflation is the decline in prices of shallots, red chili, rice, cooking oil, and rail fares.
