Abstract

In December 2022, six cities in Central Java combined experienced inflation of 0.47 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.34. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.

The main cause of inflation in December 2022 was the increase in prices of rice, purebred chicken eggs, gold jewelry, cooking oil, and purebred chicken meat. The main restraint of inflation is the decline in airfare, spinach, oranges, kale, and string beans.
