BPS Boyolali Regency continuously strives to realize the vision of BPS and the existence of BPS as a provider of statistical data and information by improving the quality of statistical data. One of the Survey Activities carried out by the Central Statistics Agency every month is the Producer Price Survey (SHP) which collects data directly from respondents within the period of 1-20 each month.
The production of goods and services and their distribution patterns are increasingly varied in accordance with technological advances and the dynamics of national development. This is reflected in the very rapid changes and variations in prices both at the producer, wholesaler and retailer levels. The increase in the price of goods and services on the market at various price levels affects the purchasing power of the community.
Price fluctuations usually start at the producer price level, which then spreads (contagion effect) to the next price level, namely the wholesale price and retail price. The producer price as the first price is the price leader of other price levels. So information about price changes at the producer level is very important as an early warning system for price fluctuations at the next price level.
With the increasing number of stakeholder requests to know more about price changes, especially at the producer level, BPS as a data provider, since 2010 has collected price data at the producer level through the Producer Price Survey. Data from the Producer Price Survey (SHP) is used to calculate the Producer Price Index (IHP).
