The regional autonomy policy has been issued by the government since 2000. This policy is directed at accelerating regional development in a fair and equitable manner throughout Indonesia. In addition, the existence of regional autonomy is also expected to be able to overcome the problem of financial balance between regions in Indonesia. The balancing fund needed in the implementation of regional autonomy is the General Allocation Fund (DAU).
One of the variables used to calculate the DAU is the Construction Cost Index (IKK) obtained from the Construction Costly Price Survey (SHKK), conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in all districts/cities in Indonesia. The survey is conducted 4 times a year, namely in July, October, January, and April. The data collected includes the price of building/construction materials, the rental price of heavy construction equipment, and the wages for construction services.
Construction Cost Index (IKK) is an index that describes the level of comparison of prices for construction goods between regions. This survey is important because to calculate the IKK, data from the survey is needed, including weights or weighing charts.
Located in the BPS hall of Boyolali Regency, an evaluation and briefing of SHKK officers has been carried out. The activity, which was carried out on Friday, July 22, 2022, involved 9 enumerators and 1 supervisory officer, all of whom were organic from BPS Boyolali Regency. The purpose of holding this activity is to equalize the concept and definition, scope and scope of price data collection which is a component in calculating the IKK. The data in question are: the price of building/construction materials, the rental price of heavy construction equipment, and the wages for construction services.
In general, SHKK respondents are producers, wholesalers selling building materials, heavy equipment rental businesses, contractors/contractors and the Public Works Department. The data collected from wholesalers are: prices of building materials, while those obtained from heavy equipment rental businesses, contractors, and the Public Works Department are data on asphalt prices, heavy equipment rental and construction service wages.
