Abstract

In November 2022, a combination of six cities in Central Java experienced inflation of 0.15 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.81. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.

The main causes of inflation in November 2022 were increases in the prices of air transportation, chicken eggs, cooking oil, filtered kretek cigarettes, and tomatoes. The main restraints on inflation were decreases in the prices of red chilies, cayenne pepper, household fuel, online 2-wheeled vehicle fares, and garlic.

The calendar year inflation rate in November 2022 was 5.14 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2022 to November 2021) was 5.81 percent.
