Abstract

The Gender Inequality Index (IKG) of Central Java in 2022 was 0.371, down 0.006 points compared to 2021 which was 0.377. Mainly influenced by the reproductive health dimension and the labor market dimension.

Improvements in the reproductive health dimension were influenced by improvements in the indicator of ever-married women aged 15-49 years who were under 20 years old at the time of their first live birth (MHPK20). This indicator fell from 26.7 percent in 2021 to 26.4 percent in 2022.

Improvements in the empowerment dimension were influenced by improvements in the indicator of the percentage of women aged 25 years and over who had a high school education or above which increased higher than men
