Abstract

In September 2022, a combination of six cities in Central Java experienced inflation of 1.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.78. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.

The main cause of inflation in September 2022 is the increase in the price of gasoline, rice, diesel, inter-city transportation, and housing contracts. The main driver of inflation is the decline in the price of air transportation, shallots, broiler meat, gold jewelry, and cinemas.

The September 2022 calendar year inflation rate is 5.11 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2022 to September 2021) is 6.40 percent.
