Abstract
In January 2021, Central Java experienced an inflation of
0.22 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.74. Of the six CPI cities
in Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced
deflation. Surakarta City experienced the highest inflation at 0.68 percent
with a CPI of 105.32 followed by inflation in the city of Purwokerto at 0.35
percent with a CPI of 105.23; Cilacap and Kota Kudus were 0.27 percent
respectively with a CPI of 104.53 and 104.94, and the lowest inflation occurred
in Semarang at 0.14 percent with a CPI of 106.06. Meanwhile, Tegal was the only
city that experienced deflation of 0.17 percent with a CPI of 106.08.
