Abstract

In November 2018 Surakarta City experienced inflation of 0.22 percent with the Consumer Price Index of 128.57 lower compared to October 2018 which experienced inflation of 0.24 percent. This inflation is due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in the consumer price index. Expenditure groups that experienced an increase in the price index, namely the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose 0.41 percent, the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose 0.22 percent, the clothing group rose 0.08 percent, the group education, recreation and sports rose 0.02 percent and the transportation, communication and financial services group rose 0.76 percent. In contrast, the foodstuffs fell 0.16 percent and the health group fell 0.07 percent.
