Abstract

January 2018 in Jawa Tengah there was inflation of 0.88 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 130.48. Inflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in all (six) cities of SBH. The inflation rate for calendar year (January 2018 to December 2017) is 0.88 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2018 to January 2017) is 3.42 percent.

The main cause of Jawa Tengah inflation in January 2018 is the rising price of rice, cayenne pepper, red chilli, chicken meat and hospital tariff. Meanwhile, the inflation rate is the decline of air transport prices, eggs of chicken, red onion, train tariff and inter-city transportation.
