July 9, 2024 | BPS Activities

From July to August 2024, BPS throughout Indonesia will carry out annual micro and small business survey data collection. Data collection on micro and small businesses is carried out every year on a quarterly or annual basis. The industrial sector is the largest contributor to GDP, where micro and small businesses are a sector that is quite resilient, as proven when other sectors slumped during the COVID-19 pandemic. The micro and small industrial business sector is actually surviving/increasing.

Data collection for the annual micro and small industry survey at BPS Boyolali Regency (VIMK2024 ANNUAL) begins with listing activities this July. This data collection was carried out by 13 enumerators and supervised by 13 supervisors who are Boyolali Regency BPS employees. The annual VIMK2024 listing uses the CAPI method using the Fasih BPS application. After the listing activities have been completed, BPS RI will carry out sampling. And the selected samples will be data in August.

The listing activity stage is a very important stage because it determines the sample frame that will be formed. IMK listing uses a household approach and an IMK business building approach. BPS strives to ensure that no IMK efforts are missed in this IMK listing stage. One of the efforts of BPS Boyolali Regency, apart from monitoring through supervisory officers, is that the INPEK Statistics Team also supervises the field to ensure that data collection complies with SOPs and directly reviews the obstacles that exist in the field.

The first supervision that was carried out at the beginning of July was at the palm fiber broom center in Manggis village, Mojosongo. And the second is supervision at the metal industry center, Tumang hamlet, Cepogo village, Cepogo sub-district. Listing data collection using the CAPI method can run smoothly even though there are occasional server/device problems used by data collectors. However, BPS Boyolali Regency has anticipated these obstacles by still providing tools to record information in the field. It is hoped that field data collection can run smoothly and be completed on time and produce quality data that will be useful in the future for formulating policies that can support the continuity of micro and small industrial businesses in Indonesia.
