The Socialization of the 2023 Agricultural Census of BPS Boyolali Regency with the theme "Recording Indonesian Agriculture for food sovereignty and farmer welfare" was held at the Front One Airport Hotel, Monday, May 22 2023. This activity was opened by the deputy regent of Boyolali Regency, Mr. Wahyu Irawan, S.H. This activity was attended by the Head of the Agriculture Office, the Head of BP3D, the Head of the District Food Security Service. Boyolali, sub-district head and BPP extension coordinator throughout Boyolali district.
Apart from OPD, this activity also presented representatives from agricultural companies in Boyolali Regency including Perum Perhutani Telawa, PT JAPFA, and Superjaya Poultry, agricultural groups and the mass media.
When opening the event, the Deputy Regent also expressed his support for holding the 2023 Agricultural Census because every policy requires accurate and valid data, and is a mandate from Law No. 16 concerning statistics. He also hopes that in the future the government will reconsider the census implementation period, which is too long if only once every 10 years.
Furthermore, the material from the first resource person was the Head of BPS Boyolali Regency, Ir. Sutirin, M.Si with the theme of collaborative implementation of ST2023 to create quality statistics for advanced Indonesia. The objectives of ST2023 include obtaining a comprehensive picture of the latest Indonesian agriculture, providing a sample frame for agricultural statistics throughout Indonesia, improving the quality of policy design.
The next material was from the Kadispertan, Mr. Bambang Jiyanto, SP, MS who conveyed the agricultural conditions in Boyolali Regency including the conversion of agricultural land which is quite high into toll roads, housing, industry
His hope is to be able to photograph agricultural conditions correctly. The key lies in the quality of the census officers themselves, whether they know exactly what is being asked and the data collection strategy.
The last material was delivered by a millennial farmer, Supriyono, the head of the farmer group of Tarubatang Village, Selo District. MILENIAL FARMERS are not only farmers aged 19 to 35 but can trigger friends their age to do business in agriculture and make a profit. Agriculture will always be the backbone of a country's economy because people need food. His success cannot be separated from the support of his family, environment and government.
