Training of National Labor Force Supervisory Officers (Sakernas) August 2022

BPS Boyolali Regency conducted training for Sakernas officers in February 2022 face-to-face (fullboard) at the Front One Budget Hotel Boyolali. This training is carried out for 2 (two) effective days, namely on 20 - 21 July 2022.

Prior to face-to-face training, pre-training (self-learning) tasks are carried out, as follows:

The number of officers consists of 27 PCL (Statistical Partners) and 13 PML (Organic), 2 Regional Instructors, and 4 committee members.

This training event was opened by the Head of BPS Boyolali Regency, Mr. Sugita with regional instructors Anik Budiasih and Sri Pujiyati (Staff of Social Statistics Function), health protocols were applied in this training.

The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is a survey conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) specifically designed to collect employment data. Sakernas is held semi-annually, namely Semester I in February and Semester II in August. To date, Sakernas has undergone various changes in terms of implementation time, level of estimation, coverage, methodology, and questionnaires. In August 2020, improvements were made to the questionnaire, namely adjustments to "new normal" conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The main changes to the questionnaire include the use of the employment concept according to the ICLS 13 concept, additions related to the impact of COVID-19 on employment based on ILO recommendations, simplifying the questionnaire, and grouping questions according to each topic. In addition to changes to the questionnaire, Sakernas August 2022 also underwent adjustments in the data collection process. This adjustment was made in accordance with the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the enumeration area.

In the August 2022 Sakernas, the August 2022 Sakernas rapid processing will be carried out which aims to obtain indications and changes in employment strategy indicators (such as the range of TPT and other employment indicators) at the national level. The August 2022 Sakernas rapid analysis is carried out by prioritizing the implementation of activities in the census block which includes rapid processing samples for all stages of activities, including updating, sampling of households, enumeration, processing, and sending data.

DESTINATION

In general, the purpose of collecting Sakernas August 2022 data is to provide sustainable basic employment data. In particular, Sakernas aims to obtain data estimates for the number of working population, the number of unemployed, and other employment indicators, as well as representative developments at the national, provincial and district/city levels. In addition, the August 2022 Sakernas also has a specific purpose to collect information related to the impact of COVID-19 on employment in Indonesia.

 SCOPE

Sakernas is held twice a year, in February and August. Sakernas February and August 2022 are held in all provinces in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. The sample size for the February 2022 Sakernas is 7,500 census blocks (BS) or 75,000 households. Sakernas February 2022 was collected to obtain an estimate of representative employment data up to the provincial level. In August 2022, the size of the Sakernas sample is 30,000 BS or about 300,000 households (consisting of 7,500 BS for the Semester 2 Sakernas sample and 22,500 BS for the Annual Sakernas sample). Sakernas August 2022 was collected to obtain an estimate of representative employment data up to the provincial level. Sakernas does not cover diplomatic corps households, households living in special BS, and special households residing in regular BS.
