March 10, 2022 | BPS Activities
BPS Boyolali
Regency again carried out the March 2022 Susenas activity. This activity began
to be carried out on March 8, 2022 with household updates on 87 selected Census
Blocks.
The National
Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) is one of the most important sources of
household socioeconomic data in Indonesia. Susenas data have been widely used
by various groups, both at home and abroad. Therefore, the continuity of the
availability and quality of Susenas data must be maintained and improved.
The quality of
the survey data is influenced by two things, namely sampling error and
non-sampling error. Quality data must have the lowest possible sampling error
and non-sampling error. In an effort to obtain quality data from the side of
low non-sampling error, then in its implementation (data collection) officers
are needed who are responsible and able to carry out the data collection
properly, so that there is a need for officer training as a provision for officers
to the field.
As a follow-up
to the results of the Limited Meeting (Ratas) on February 15, 2022, chaired by
the President and attended by the Head of BPS, one of the results of the Ratas
assigned BPS to monitor various social assistance programs from the government
through the March 2022 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). In connection
with this, a briefing was held to convey several adjustments in the
implementation of the March 2022 Susenas as follows:
1. Household
Geotagging recording and household photos of the March 2022 Susenas sample
households will be recorded using the Wilkerstat application.
2. With the
change in the mechanism for disbursing the Social Assistance for Basic Foods
from non-cash to cash through the Post Office and to capture other social
assistance information that has not been included in the March 2022 Susenas
questionnaire, the March 2022 Susenas Susenas will be added.
3. For the
purposes of evaluating the acceleration of the elimination of Extreme Poverty
in 2022 which will be implemented in 212 priority regencies/cities and will be
monitored through the March 2022 Susenas, it is necessary to evaluate changes
in the welfare of the population in these 212 regencies/cities in the period
March 2021-March 2022. To For this purpose, a household panel analysis is
needed for the period March 2021-March 2022. For this reason, the March 2022
Susenas sampling design will be changed in 212 priority regencies/cities to
become the March 2021 Household Panel Susenas. Priority Areas for the
acceleration of the elimination of Extreme Poverty.
