Abstract

The economy of Central Java in the first quarter of 2022 based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product at current prices reached IDR 375,951.52 billion and based on constant 2010 prices reached IDR 257,706.70 billion.

Positive Growth of the Central Java Economic Quarter I-2022 (y-on-y) of 5.16 percent. This quarter's achievement was higher than the first quarter of 2021 which experienced a contraction of -0.55 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector, which was 51.13 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest increase was recorded by the Component of Exports of Goods and Services (including Inter-Regional Exports) which was 10.33 percent.

Compared to the performance in Quarter IV-2021, Central Java's economy in Quarter I-2022 grew by 1.75 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector, which grew by 36.99 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the component that experienced the highest increase occurred in the component of exports of goods and services (including inter-regional exports) of 7.45 percent.
