Abstract

The labour force in February 2022 was 144.01 million people, a 4.20 million increase over February 2021. Similarly, the labour force participation rate increased by 0.98 percentage points.
Compared to February 2021, the number of employed people increased by 4.55 million to 135.61 million in February 2022. Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery experienced the greatest rise in employment (0.37 percentage points), while Other Services experienced the largest decline in employment (0.51 percentage points).
