Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2021 is estimated at 1.71 million hectares, an increase of 41.59 thousand hectares or 2.50 percent compared to 2020 which was 1.67 million hectares.

Rice production in 2021 is estimated at 9.77 million tons of GKG, an increase of 276 thousand tons of GKG or 2.91 percent compared to 2020 which was 9.49 million tons of GKG.

If the potential rice production in 2021 is converted into rice for population food consumption, then rice production in 2021 is estimated at 5.59 million tons, an increase of 157.90 thousand tons or 2.91 percent compared to 2020 which was 5.43 million tons.
