July 2021 Central Java Experiences 0.06 Percent Inflation

Abstract

In July 2021, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.06 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.11. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced deflation.

The main cause of inflation in Central Java in July 2021 was the increase in the price of cayenne pepper, shallots, elementary school, filtered kretek cigarettes, and tomatoes. The main restraints of inflation in Central Java were the decrease in the price of broiler chicken, broiler chicken eggs, rice, gold jewelry, and air transportation.

The calendar year inflation rate in July 2021 was 0.57 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2021 to July 2020) was 1.40 percent.v
