Abstract

•August 2018 in Jawa Tengah there was inflation of 0.10 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 131.98. Inflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in all (six) cities of SBH.
• The calendar year inflation rate (August 2018 to December 2017) is 1.83 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate of Y / Y (August 2018 to August 2017) is 3.00 percent.
• The main causes of deflation in Jawa Tengah in August 2018 were falling prices for broiler eggs, air transport, shallots, cayenne pepper and rice. Whereas those holding back the rate of deflation are rising oily cookies, balokan wood, junior high school fees, salak and wages for domestic servants.
