Micro and Small Industry Data Collection in the Annual VIMK25

Micro and small businesses are a key pillar of the regional economy. To provide data on the development of this sector, the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) conducts the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (IMK) Survey both quarterly and annually. The 2025 Annual IMK Survey data collection is different: the survey, which is usually conducted in August 2025, has been moved to September 2025. This adjustment in the survey's timing is related to a major BPS activity, namely the WILKERSTAT (State Employment Agency) update, which will be held in August 2025.

Despite national demonstrations during this period, the IMK Survey in Boyolali Regency was still able to proceed without delay. This was due to the relatively conducive situation in Boyolali Regency.

Data collection was conducted using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method through the BPS FASIH application. To facilitate the enumeration, officers were provided with data collection worksheets as needed in the field. Monitoring, supervision and monitoring activities from the Boyolali Regency BPS are also carried out to ensure that data quality is maintained and that any obstacles that arise can be immediately resolved.
