Boyolali, December 16, 2024 – The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) office in Boyolali Regency held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) under the theme “Collaboration and Strengthening of Sectoral Data as the Basis for Preparing Quarterly GRDP in Boyolali Regency.” The event took place in the Auditorium of the BPS Boyolali Office and was attended by various stakeholders, including Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), and other sectoral data providers.
The Head of BPS Boyolali Regency, Ir. Sutirin, M.Si, emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration to ensure accurate and relevant GRDP data.
“GRDP is not just a statistical figure; it reflects the region's economic dynamics, which serve as the basis for policy-making. Through cooperation, we can enhance the validity of sectoral data as a foundation for better development,” Sutirin stated.
The event began with a presentation on Boyolali Regency's quarterly GRDP data, covering the period from Q1 2022 to Q3 2024. This data provided a comprehensive overview of regional economic growth trends, leading sectors, and challenges faced in each quarter.
Following the GRDP presentation, a basic data desk session was conducted. During this session, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening mechanisms for collecting and aligning sectoral data. It also served as a forum for feedback and suggestions on data requirements to develop a more comprehensive quarterly GRDP.
The highlight of the event was the launch of Boyolali DataHub, a digital platform designed to compile basic GRDP data. This platform aims to facilitate access, management, and integration of data from various sectors, thereby supporting the preparation of more accurate and efficient GRDPs. Boyolali DataHub represents a significant step forward in digital transformation for sectoral data management. With this initiative, the process of preparing GRDP is expected to become more transparent, faster, and technology-driven.
The FGD concluded on a note of optimism among all participants. They agreed to strengthen collaboration and synergy in enhancing the quality of sectoral data in Boyolali Regency.
Through the successful implementation of this FGD and the launch of Boyolali DataHub, BPS Boyolali Regency hopes to continuously improve the preparation of quarterly GRDPs and establish a strong foundation for regional development planning.
