Reviewing SEP UTL and UTP data collection in Selo Boyolali District

June 11, 2024 | BPS Activities

Data collection activities for the Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) are still ongoing and are already in the middle of the implementation schedule. Therefore, field monitoring activities along with quality assurance are very necessary so that data collection targets are on schedule with good data quality.
The Head of Boyolali Regency BPS, Ir Sutirin, M.Si together with the subject matter of the Boyolali Regency BPS Production Statistics Team again supervised the area with the most complex agricultural commodities, namely in Selo District. In Selo District, farmers cultivate a variety of horticultural crops in addition to other agricultural commodities. The target for SEP supervision by BPS Boyolali Regency this time is one sample of UTL respondents, namely the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Tarubatang Village, Selo District and one UTP sample in Lencoh Village, Selo District. Officers immediately interviewed one of the heads of the Women's Farmers Group in Tarubatang Village, Selo District, namely Mrs. Surani. The Tarubatang KWT consists of two Chairmen, namely Mrs. Sri Sartini and Mrs. Surani with 50 members consisting of local women. The commodities cultivated are shallots, leeks, mustard greens, cauliflower, broccoli and lettuce.
This Women Farmers Group (KWT) has been established for 5 years. His business includes planting to processing potato chips, grubi, potatoes, etc. However, for processed chips there are still obstacles in marketing them. The next supervision activity was on one UTP sample in Lencoh Village, Selo District. In general, data collection activities went smoothly because respondents had good understanding. However, data collection does take quite a long time because of the large number of agricultural commodities cultivated in the Selo area.
