Thursday, March 31, 2022, a Coordination Meeting of the Boyolali Regency
Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) and the Boyolali Regency Food Task Force
Team was held in order to face the Month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr in 2022.
Observing the current market conditions where food prices fluctuate very high,
the increase is very high. quite significant and the unstable availability of
food became the focus of discussion at this meeting. If in previous years,
especially before Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, the commodities that usually
experienced an increase were eggs, purebred chicken, beef, granulated sugar and
wheat flour, this year cooking oil has become a commodity whose price increases
are very significant coupled with the availability of very unstable supply.
This is beyond expectations because it has become a national issue and is a
problem whose solution is not regional in nature. Anticipating this, various
solutions were discussed to keep the increase in prices of strategic
commodities, especially food in Boyolali Regency from experiencing a
significant increase and to keep stocks safe. Market operations and low-cost
markets will be carried out to help people get food at affordable prices, will
be carried out by several agencies, namely the Boyolali District Food Security
Service, Boyolali District Trade and Industry Service from the Kodim and
Boyolali District Police. The synergy to provide food at low prices and to
maintain stability in food supply is expected to reduce the burden on the
community ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2022. It is hoped that inflation
will be maintained and people's purchasing power will not decline.
