CENSUS NIGHT

Tonight the Boyolali District BPS Team and also all districts / cities in Indonesia are carrying out a Census Night. Census Night is held to coincide on Census Day, 15 September 2020 from 21:00 WIB to 16 September 2020 at 06:00 WIB.

Tonight's agenda, BPS records homeless people who are usually in the market, storefronts or public facilities. In addition, BPS will also record ship crew (ABK) who have not returned home for at least one year.

Determination of Census Day on 15 September 2020 is determined by referring to the Principles and Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses, Revision 3, United Nations, 2017, which is the day when it is assumed that at least half of the population is enumerated. Meanwhile, Census Night is set on 15 September 2020 from 21.00 to 16 September 2020 at 06.00.

In this Census Night, the data should be made of homeless people and crew (ABK). However, because in Boyolali there is no port, only homeless people are being recorded.

Homeless are residents who do not have a place to live (house), and live in:

• Under the bridge;

• Market;

• Terminal;

• Station;

• Shop fronts;

• Public parks or various other public facilities;

• Homeless people on sidewalks;
